Subject: [Carolina Corvettes ] Harrah's Cherokee Cruise
Hi Everyone,
Here's the plan for the Harrah's Cherokee cruise. If you have any
questions or anything then just let me know. It seems to me that the last
time I drove it, it took about 3 hours and I don't recall making any stops so
it will probably take a little longer this time. I'll try to factor in at
least one bathroom break along the way. I would recommend bringing some
drinks in case you get thirsty in the car. It would also be good to bring
walkie talkies if you've got them so we can communicate during the cruise.
The cruise will be Saturday, April 30th. There was some inquiry about
moving it back a week but that is both the Darlington race for Nascar and
Mother's day week end and I don't want to compete with either of those so I'm
leaving it as is on the 30th.
Rough Schedule
==========================================
9am - (OPTIONAL) Meet at the Cafe At Williams Hardware in Travelers Rest for
breakfast and socializing. This is the same place we went for breakfast
for Mike's Caesar's Head cruise last year. If you haven't been there before,
there is a church behind and a little south of it that you can park at.
If you're heading north on 276 then the entrance for the church is last road on
the left before the Cafe but it's small and some what easy to miss.
10am-ish - Meet at the Cafe At Williams Hardware in Travelers Rest to depart if
you weren't already there for socializing.
Several Hours Later - Arrive at Harrah's Cherokee. Discuss dinner
plans. Then everyone is free to gamble or drink or do whatever suits your
fancy.
Several Hours Later TBD - Dinner if we'd all like to do dinner together.
There is a Paula Dean's Restaurant there now that someone expressed interest
in. If everyone wants to do that then we can pick a time to meet and I'll
put in a reservation.
After Dinner - Maybe more hanging out, maybe cruising home. We'll see
what everyone wants to do. I'm planning to just head home that night but
you're welcome to stay if you'd like. If you're planning to stay I do
recommend getting a room reservation ahead of time. The Casino hotel is
probably already booked solid so you'll probably have to get a room at a nearby
hotel.
==========================================
I think that about covers it but if you have any questions then just let me
know. Thanks and I look forward to seeing everyone there.
